i like the type in this design expecially future

i dont think this works very well because even thow it is eye catching i dont understans wat it is promoting
i think this works well because it has very good pictures and it describers what it is promoting.

freddo

ITC Freddo, a new typeface from New York designer James Montalbano, was inspired by a sign lettering manual from the 1930s. Montalbano liked the basic character shapes illustrated in this primer, but found many of the proportions to be very odd and in need of reinterpretation. The capitals, for example, were nearly four times the size of the lowercase letters. Perhaps some of these oddities can be attributed to a change in brush for the sign painter, but for the purpose of his new design, Montalbano had to make adjustments for more modern uses.

1 mistakes can help you learn when you try somthing new it might not work. then you know not to try it again, sometimes an idea that failed for somthing it was ment for actually makes somthing new or improves an excisting idem.

2 Design is inportant to visual communication because it helps plan, organize, order, relate and control.

3 i think the best way to get creative compositions and ideas is to just think. some time they will come to you when yoyr sleeping some times at work. whenever just right them down and save them for later. thats what i do

4 design-somthing that is planed and dosn't just happen.

5 just like a group of people trying to complet a gole they cant do it unless hey work together.composition is the same way it wont work unless all parts fit together.

6 when a design becones to unified it is boaring and not as exciting as somthing that is alittle but missed matched.

7 If a composition lacks unity then the composition would become very chaotic.

8 there are 7 different ways to create unity varity, grouping, containment, repetition. proximity, continunity, and closure.

9 one cam make a composition more memorable by using a few diffrent signs of unity.

10 Gestalt phychology helps us to visulize and see thing others might not. look at it in a different prospective.

Montalbano liked the basic character shapes illustrated in the primer, but found that what made for a good piece of lettering didn’t necessarily make for a good typeface design. The drawn capitals, for example, were nearly four times the size of the lowercase letters. In addition, many characters had inconsistent proportions and shapes. Montalbano carefully modulated these to create a true typeface design–with no loss in personality from the original lettering.
